Cable Technician

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: This is a 1099 contractor position for Spectrum Charter Cable Technician Applicants will be tested in the field with another technician before being approved to start. Job Overview: We are hiring experienced Fiber Optic/ Cable Technicians in Eunice, LA The role involves fiber installation and splicing, and may include some coaxial work. This position is ideal for techs who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Requirements: Proven Fiber Optic/ Cable experience (e.g., splicing, installation, troubleshooting) Willingness to perform both fiber and coax work, as needed Must pass a field test with another tech prior to onboarding Must own: Work vehicle (van, SUV, or truck – white color not required in this market) 28 ft. fiberglass ladder & 6 ft. step ladder Full tool set for fiber work (splicing tools, OTDR, etc.) Valid driver’s license Ability to work outdoors and in various environments (attics, rooftops, etc.) Other Information: 1099 contract role Paid per job (piece-rate basis) Ongoing work available based on performance and availability Application Process: You will be asked to confirm the above requirements during the application.
