The team works with leading sponsors, developers, lenders and investors on transactions across renewables, power and next‐generation infrastructure.The New York office is a key hub for this work and is known for offering strong training, real mentorship and a supportive team environment, particularly for junior associates. The culture is high‐performing but collegiate, with a clear emphasis on developing lawyers properly from the outset.The RoleFrom early on, associates are involved across the lifecycle of deals rather than being confined to narrow workstreams.You will gain exposure not only to core financing mechanics, but also to structuring considerations, risk allocation and transaction strategy, making this an excellent platform for building long‐term project finance expertise.ResponsibilitiesSupporting sponsors and lenders on domestic and cross‐border project finance transactionsAssisting with construction and term debt facilities for renewable energy and infrastructure projectsGaining exposure to debt structuring and tax‐driven elements of financings, including:tax credit monetisationtax equity and partnership structurestransferable tax credit arrangements (TCTAs)Drafting and reviewing key transaction documents, including financing agreements, security documents and related ancillary materialsAssisting with due diligence and risk assessments across commercial, construction and financing risksPlaying an active role in transaction management, coordinating across internal specialists (tax, regulatory, real estate) and external counterpartiesDeveloping general market awareness, including trends in renewables finance, investor appetite and evolving deal structuresQualifications1-3 years' experience as a project finance associate with experience gained in a reputable law firmExposure to renewables, energy or infrastructure transactionsInterest in developing expertise in tax credit, tax equity and structured renewables financingsStrong drafting skills, attention to detail and commercial awarenessComfortable working in a fast‐paced transactional environment and taking responsibility earlyWhy This Role Stands OutJunior‐friendly platform with real responsibility and high‐quality training in New York.
