Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician

JOB DESCRIPTION:Healthcare system in coastal South Carolina is seeking to hire a Hospice and Palliative Care physician to grow our Hospice program, The ideal candidate is interested in working in a rapidly changing environment who would like to grow and mature an inpatient hospice and palliative care program. This position is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend rounding, except being a phone resource for the team after-hours. The current program has an established Hospice office with an on-site director and nursing staff, along with social workers and bereavement coordinators available to serve the county. This position includes paid malpractice, CME allowance, base salary plus RVU bonus, Sign On bonus, relocation allowance, paid time off, and excellent retirement and health benefits. This opportunity also includes an Associated Medical Director work with bonus pay. HOSPITAL:A 200 bed hospital with three campuses that offer a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. This location features interventional cardiology and electrophysiology, vascular surgery, orthopedics, and a DaVinci robotics program. Primary care, Hospitalists, and critical care/pulmonary medicine physicians support all three campuses. COMMUNITY:Known for its fresh seafood, fishing charters, annual blue crab festival, and historic centuries-old live oak trees, it is one of the last communities on the Grand Strand where a slower pace of life still exists.
