Project duration- 6 MonthsLocation - Washington DC(Onsite) 5 days.Job descriptionA PC refresh technician helps users to upgrade their computers operating system or replace an old laptop or personal computer As a PC refresh technician the job duties also include troubleshooting issues for users of obsolete operating systems or users who are having difficulties with upgradesResponsibilitiesFollow documentation to complete computer provisioningSet up and configure computers and peripheral equipment such as monitor printer scanner etcConducted data migration and backups including user account creation and Windows settings configuration for PCsPerform audits and tests on computer systems networks and hardware to ensure it is functioning properlyRespond to support requests and assist in troubleshooting any problems that ariseAttempt to replicate reported technical problems and look for solutionsEnsure all software and hardware is uptodate and install updates as requiredPerform routine preventative maintenance to avoid system outages and failuresMaintain computer documentation for colleagues to referenceTrain colleagues on how to effectively use computer systems and componentsUse ServiceNow ticketing system for documenting migrationrefresh activities dailySkills QualificationsCertificate or associates degree in a relevant fieldDOS Command and scripting understandingExemplify strong attention to detailAbility to understand and brainstorm creative solutions to complex problems is essentialMust have strong time management skills and work productively with minimal supervisionFamiliarity and understanding of the functions of basic computer hardware and softwareStrong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative attitude are a mustAbility to explain technical problems in laymans termsMust have sound analytical thinking skills and attention to detailResource must have Windows 10 experienceExperience Level3 years experience in a technical support or customer service role are desiredSkillsMandatory Skills : Jira Service Desk, Salesforce Field Service, ServiceNow ITSM, Windows Server
