Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Long Term Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 05/05/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, rotating Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Long-Term Care Registered Nurse – Alaska Start Date: May 5, 2026 Location: Alaska Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Variable shifts available – choose 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week; Days or Nights (determined by facility needs at start); 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period Highlights: Work in a 40-bed long-term care facility with a 1:20 nurse-to-patient ratio Flexible contract options: 13-week or 26-week assignments based on your preference Facility-provided rental vehicle available for duration of assignment Care for diverse patient populations including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and other cognitive and physical impairments Utilize ECS charting system with support from interdisciplinary team including social services Perform a variety of specialized procedures including IV hydration, wound care, respiratory treatments, and phlebotomy Requirements: Valid Alaska RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with long-term care background required Previous travel nursing experience mandatory BLS certification required Hepatitis B vaccination required (medical exemption may be considered with provider documentation) Must reside at least 50 miles from facility location Willingness to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance with rental car coverage (if accepting facility vehicle) Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of LTC employment within the last 3 years Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Must be 25 years or older to qualify for facility-provided vehicle Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the unique advantage of experiencing Alaska while making a meaningful difference in the lives of long-term care residents.
