Location: Wildwood, MORemote: RemoteType: ContractJob #47135Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented API Developer – C#/.NET and Azure API Management.Do you have experience designing and implementing REST APIs using C# and .NET, as well as configuring API gateways like Azure API Management?Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!What You Will Be DoingYou will join the client's backend development team as an API Developer for a 6-month project. In this role, you will build and refactor core backend services to securely expose microservices to a customer-facing mobile app. You will work closely with mobile developers to ensure APIs meet performance and contract requirements. You will deploy and manage API gateways, refactor legacy services, and address performance bottlenecks to improve overall API functionality. Your work will directly impact the mobile application's reliability, security, and user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop REST API layers to expose existing microservices such as shipping, pricing, and cart.Deploy, configure, and manage API gateways (Azure API Management or equivalent) for security, request routing, and rate limiting.Wrap and refactor legacy endpoints from direct database calls to documented APIs following best practices.Collaborate with mobile development teams to validate API contracts and ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to pricing payloads, SKU computation, and ERP latency.Implement secure authentication transfer between the mobile app and the client's identity system.Coordinate third-party integrations including CyberSource payment processing and Genesis ERP for order and shipping updates.Develop observability and logging mechanisms within APIs to monitor mobile app behavior in production environments.Required Skills & Experience3-5+ years of experience in API development with C#/.NET.Strong knowledge of REST API design and documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.Hands-on experience deploying and managing API gateways such as Azure API Management.Familiarity with SQL Server and microservices architecture.Experience integrating third-party SDKs, especially CyberSource and Genesis ERP.Knowledge of search tools such as Typesense or Elasticsearch.Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security implementation skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License.Desired Skills & ExperienceExperience working in financial or ERP integration environments.Certifications related to Azure or API management solutions.Exposure to DevOps practices and API observability tools.Pay: $59.50 – $85.00 /hrKeywords: REST API, C#/.NET, Azure API Management, Microservices, OpenAPI, Swagger, SQL Server, CyberSource, Genesis ERP, API GatewayWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
