Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic and fast-paced world of immersive entertainment. Cosm AV Operators drive our groundbreaking immersive technology, creating incredible experiences for our guests. Cosm is looking for an experienced AV operator with experience in a live entertainment or hospitality environment. We’re looking for individuals who put customers first and always strive to provide the highest level of service. The ideal candidate would be organized, motivated, and proactive to ensure that venue display systems are delivering a cutting-edge immersive experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Operate our industry-leading dome and hall LED displays for major sporting events, studio content, and special events
Maintain comprehensive systems and software knowledge to support normal operations, special events, and demonstrations on our custom LED dome and hall displays.
Monitor venue event schedule and proactively coordinate with stakeholders and operators
Activate and monitor live event sequences and transitions, triggers, and cues
Track live event content and adjust venue activities according to established operating procedures
Manage and program in-house cameras, multicast system, lighting, and audio throughout the venue
Coordinate with venue management to initiate program blocks, transitions, lighting & audio levels, and run of show
Essential Systems Maintenance
Log and track issues across all presentation systems
LED module removal and replacement
Coordinate and assist in system testing and issue resolution procedures
Monitor and maintain a variety of theatrical effects, including audio, video, and lighting effects.
Create, Modify, and Implement standard operating procedures
Train and assist team members on SOPs, run books, and maintenance
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar relevant field
Any additional relevant diploma or certification or industry experience with large venue AV technology will be considered as an advantage
Extensive background working with Windows OS and Windows PC technology
Strong familiarity with audio/visual signal flows and diagrams and AV automation systems
Experience with QSYS, Dante, Mosaic, multicast systems, and Paradigm preferred
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized
Team leadership skills, ability to remain calm under pressure
Theatrical or other live performance experience preferred
Experience in Audio, Lighting, Broadcast, IT, and/or streaming IP video workflows preferred
Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
Must be able to safely climb structures and work, briefly, in elevated positions
Must be able to work during live events, with high noise levels, and busy environments
This is a shift-based, on-site role, and will require evening/weekend/holiday work
On-the-job operational, maintenance, and safety training will be provided
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $65,000 to $80,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
