This Senior Project Scheduler will support change management as well as help to develop, track and update schedules from inception to completion of projects. The Senior Project Scheduler will report directly to the Scheduling Manager.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate effectively with all field staff members, scheduling consultant and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updatesMeet with Subcontractors as required in development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedulesIdentify and communicate significant schedule risks to Staff and appropriate regional personnelUtilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Principles and experience to develop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project staff to facilitate development of the project schedule.Use EVMS to evaluate the performance of the project by analyzing significant schedule, budget and/or resource variances from the baseline planForecast impacts of variances to aid in the management of the scheduleAbility to use the cost-loaded schedule as the basis of billingsUtilize Primavera P6 scheduling software to update and document schedule performanceMonitor and status schedule progressAnalyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. through the use of schedule fragnetsImplement controls to avoid claimsInteract with scheduling consultant in schedule reviews, claims analysis, etc. Perform cash flow projections / analysis on a monthly basisPerform manpower projections / analysisParticipate in regional training seminarsTrain/Lead classes and facilitate learning of the scheduling systems amongst the project staffQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required or equivalent years of experience in Scheduling5+ years’ experience in construction scheduling requiredGeneral knowledge of construction principles/processes, field operations and ability to read construction plansWorking knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6Ability to schedule in Design/Build or IPD environment and create 4-D simulations with scheduleExperience with delay claims, time extension requests, schedule analysis and subcontractor productivity/limitationsAbility to motivate teams through lead planning exercises (pull scheduling, VICO)Ability to “VE” schedule to its shortest responsible durationMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
