If you are interested in pursuing a rewarding career, we invite you to review our opportunities!Job Description SummaryProper working condition when leaving the shop; dismantles and reassembles/rebuilds equipment; fabricates parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs; diagnoses complex mechanical equipment problemsAdherence to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt Rentals Management including company vehicle upkeepProvides training and mentoring to other mechanics engaged in equipment repairs or maintenanceProvides training and assistance to customers on operation on Load BanksConducts preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and down time in the fieldMake ready and receive low and medium voltage cables, all AC & DC Load Banks, power distribution items, and transformers for our rental customersTroubleshoot/repair small load banks, resistor racks on large load banks, power distribution items, and low voltage cablesAssesses time and cost of repairsAttends and participates in all Profit Center Meetings Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc.Performs safety inspections on equipmentAvailable for on call emergency service as scheduledOperate basic and advanced hand tools, metering tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, and shop toolsMaintains a clean and safe shop work environmentAdheres to all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirementsAttends all training and manufacturing training as directedPerforms other duties assigned as assigned by the managerRequirements:Education & Experience:Highschool Diploma or EquivalentElectrical Knowledge and ExperienceMust have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAble to read and understand electric schematicsExhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety and a high level of safety consciousnessAble to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipmentCustomer service skills requiredMust have good written and verbal communication skillsHas an operational process/system aptitudeAbility to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignmentsMust be flexible regarding work assignmentsAbility to prioritize work assignmentsPhysical Demands: Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
