Heavy Forklift Operator

Job Summary:The Forklift Operator/Material Handler will be responsible for transporting parts and materials throughout the facility utilizing a forklift or hand truck in a safe and efficient manner.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Move expensive/fragile parts as well as warehouse materials throughout the site.The ability to follow pre-determined routes for material movement.Manage crate and box inventoryDeliver and manage scrap parts inventoryVisually inspect repaired parts for handling damage and receive them per processCrate and box parts utilizing a foam machine, saw and other tools.Ability to pack/unpack crates, boxes, and palletsMaintain inventory of wooden and plastic pallets as well as various crates; store and stack them neatly, deliver as necessary.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma / GEDMinimum of one year experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage yardAbility to operate a forklift rated for over 15,000 pounds.Able to work outdoors, year-round, in a variety of weather conditions.Computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and Excel)Capability to actively work on multiple tasks at the same time.Ability to be certified in crane and rigging operations.Desired Characteristics:Certified to operate a sit down and stand-up forklift and/or crane and rigging operations.
