Their primary responsibilities typically include:Primary ResponsibilitiesReceiving Shipments: Checking and verifying incoming goods against shipping documentation, like packing slips or purchase orders.Inspection: Inspecting the goods for any damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues to management or the vendor.Recording Inventory: Accurately entering received goods into the warehouse's inventory management system.Labeling and Organizing: Labeling received goods and organizing them into their proper storage locations.Collaboration: Working closely with warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and packers, to ensure smooth workflow.Returns Handling: Processing any returns or exchanges of defective or incorrect items.Safety Compliance: Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed during receiving and storing goods.Skills & QualificationsAttention to detailBasic math skills requiredComputer proficiency for inventory systemsAbility to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as neededAbility to work independently or with a teamWork Environment And Physical DemandsPhysical requirements include lifting to 50 lbs., bending, standing and climbingWarehouse environment, working around forklifts, pallet jacks, and rackingAbility to work on feet, standing or walking, for an entire 8-hour shiftAbility to work in environment that is not climate controlled.
