Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Job Title: Quality Control Laboratory TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. You will perform quality checks and collaborate closely with the production team to maintain high standards.ResponsibilitiesConduct product pulls of raw, in-process, and finished samples for testing as needed.Keep records and administer proper labels of products while conducting various shelf life evaluations.Verify product labeling and code dates.Perform all chemical and microbiological testing on all raw, process control, and finished product samples.Conduct sensory analysis on finished products, including tasting and smelling.Perform plant audits and complete checklists.Conduct benchtop testing in the lab.Operate lab equipment such as titrators, perform calibrations as required by SOP, and troubleshoot as necessary.Maintain organization and cleanliness within the laboratory.Communicate crucial process control testing and product evaluation results to management as specified by SOPs.Maintain the company LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) by performing daily data entry of sample identification and results.Verify supply inventories, restock, and prepare supplies as needed.Perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor.Collaborate effectively within a team.Essential SkillsProficiency in quality control, chemistry, and laboratory practices.Familiarity with GMP, QC, microbiology, wet chemistry, visual inspection, and titration.Strong understanding of SOPs and quality assurance procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry).Ability to prioritize duties and efficiently manage time in a high-demand environment.Strong team collaboration skills.Adaptability to handle changes and additional tasks as they arise.Work EnvironmentThe role requires working both in a laboratory setting and on the production floor. Due to the nature of dairy products, the environment is kept cool to ensure product quality. You will perform quality checks such as swabbing and temperature checks on the plant floor and conduct various tests within the lab.
