The Role Purpose of the role Supercharge client service: Deliver cutting-edge cost management powered by digital tools, moving beyond static reporting to dynamic project insight. Cradle-to-grave expertise: Oversee every commercial aspect of projects, from initial concepts through close-out. Champion collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with project managers, planners, and design teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. Team This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy, focusing on understanding project problems, implementing the best solutions, and developing scalable practices, tools, and technology. You will be part of our Commercial Services Team, led by our Commercial Director. Your top three objectives To make construction projects deliver to near perfection To create scalable and repeatable solutions to common problems To develop yourself and everyone around you Your capabilities You will be a seasoned Cost/Commercial Manager, with extensive experience working directly with clients, ideally with some stints at Tier 1 or 2 contractors, to provide well-rounded consultancy experience. You understand that cost is a byproduct of schedule, risk, and scope. You must have Mastery : Cost Management background with at least 10+ years of experience on construction projects Communication : Proficient in written and spoken English; additional languages are appreciated, with Norwegian considered an advantage Leadership : A relentless approach to dealing with people Impact : A track record of making projects and organisations better beyond the basics Location : Experience in the Nordic market and willingness to travel every other week to support regional operations Data Centre Focus (Desirable) : Prior experience in data centres or high-tech industrial projects; ability to develop comprehensive commercial strategies from initiation to close-out Laminar isn't the place for you if any of the following is true: You want an easy, chilled-out role without much challenge You like to be the smartest person in the room You don't like honest candid feedback You prefer to do your own thing rather than work with a team Frequently Asked Questions What kinds of projects would I be working on? You'll work on several projects in your first year, including some of the world's most complex environments. You might work in data centres, infrastructure (defense, rail, highways), high-tech manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, or complex building projects. Where would I be working? Travel and remote work are common, with opportunities to visit sites, clients, and our London office as needed. How does this role connect to long-term impact?
