Marketing Specialist
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to optimize marketing effectiveness in their assigned vertical and enhance our customer and principal experience. In addition, the Senior Marketing Specialist may provide assistance and support to the entire marketing department and collaborate with others throughout the organization, resulting in making Barentz Always a better solution.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Position/DepartmentGather data on existing and potential customers, competitors, or market segments for use in the development oftargeted marketing strategiesDevelop and administer a calendar of marketing campaigns or other promotional opportunities including trade shows, etc.and ensure associated deadlines are metBe an ambassador for Barentz branding across divisionLead Barentz’ social media presence with product and principal announcements, video, and vertical engagementOversee all tradeshow details and manage tradeshow booth presence (banners, literature, promos) to foster engagementwith customers and principalsProofread marketing collateral (ads, product guides, articles, press releases, etc.)Coordinate feature product information for monthly e-mail newslettersWrite company-wide press releases for mediaCollaborate with and advise sales team on best practices by using marketing tools, such as Paperflite, lead scanning, directories.Continuously develop strategies to grow social media followers and customer baseLeadership/ TeamworkWork closely with Principal Managers and sales leaders to collect information or specifications for use in marketing productsand principalsSupport executives, sales, and other departments as requestedWork independently and in a team environment on various ongoing projectsParticipate in regular 1 2 1 meetings with supervisor to discuss the status of the territory’s business and growth opportunitiesCommunicate with other Account Managers throughout the organization to stay up to date on customers and trendsContinuous Improvement/Problem SolvingContribute to and support continuous improvement of our processes and systemsSeek opportunities to share best practices with the team, support staff and other divisionsEnsure adherence to all applicable facility requirements, certifications and designationsSystemsBarentz specific systems, including but not limited to BRM, Vizion, Chempax, Datacor, Sharepoint, etc.Barentz Culture/FundamentalsSupport and lead by example, following Barentz’ purpose, strategies, and valuesAct legally and ethically in all professional relationships in adherence with Barentz’ culture, values and fundamentalsContribute to an environment of trust and mutual respectMaintain a strong commitment to teamwork and concern for othersMaintain a high level of personal responsibility and ownershipUse effective communication and listening skillsFoster an inclusive and diverse workplace where every team member feels valued and respectedLearning and Development Participate in on-going leadership, management, and skills trainingSeek out and participate in ongoing growth and personal development opportunitiesEmbrace and promote Barentz’ learning and development cultureOther Duties and Responsibilities:Duties and responsibilities may be amended at any time per business needEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EducationBachelor’s degree in Marketing or other applicable field (Required)Master’s degree in Marketing or other applicable field (Preferred)ExperienceAt least three (5) years of experience in marketing and graphic design (required)Experience (preferred)CertificationsAny industry related certification (i.e., Sales Techniques, Project Management, Regulatory, Quality Management, etc.) (preferred/encouraged)Position/Product/Industry RequirementsHands on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint), CMS for webpage content (some HTML required), social media apps, and Constant ContactExperience using industry related technologies and equipmentExceptional proofreading skillsAbility to be proactive on marketing ideas that create value for the organization and assigned divisionSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Self-motivated, high energy, creative and engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlookAbility and desire to develop meaningful/productive business relationships at all levelsEffective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style to the audience as neededSoftware knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power PointMust be able to effectively prioritize work assignments for self and othersDemonstrated exceptional organizational, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skillsFluent in English, a second language would be considered an asset Strong calculation, organizational, and problem-solving skillsMust be very detail oriented and meticulous in how work is performed
