Join our team and help us bring the best of British TV to fans everywhere.Job PurposeThe Director, Growth – BBC Select will act as the strategic marketing lead for BBC Select, owning the end-to-end growth agenda across acquisition, partner marketing and campaign strategy. This role carries significant commercial accountability and requires a highly strategic marketer who is equally confident at interpreting data-driven signals as they are shaping campaign creative.ResponsibilitiesGrowth Leadership & Commercial OwnershipOwn the growth strategy and subscriber acquisition roadmap for BBC SelectLead annual and quarterly planning aligned to ambitious subscriber and revenue targetsHold accountability for acquisition performance, including sign-ups, CPA and marketing efficiencyDevelop robust forecasting models and scenario planning to guide investment decisionsIdentify and unlock new growth opportunities across paid, partner and owned channelsEnsure marketing activity balances short-term performance with long-term brand and subscriber valueSyndicated Partner & Platform StrategyLead the overall marketing approach across syndicated partner platforms (e.g. Amazon, The Roku Channel), ensuring alignment between paid investment and organic merchandising opportunitiesCollaborate closely with the Partner Manager to maximise organic promotional opportunities and platform visibilityContinuously evaluate platform dynamics, identifying strategic opportunities to scale or optimise performanceHelp shape the future operating modelIntegrated Marketing StrategyDefine integrated campaign strategies across paid, partner and owned channelsEstablish clear audience, positioning and messaging frameworksSet the strategic direction for major campaigns and approve creative to ensure effectiveness and brand consistencyDefine cross-functional campaign planning processes and interaction modelsTranslate performance insight into strategic pivots and optimisation plansPartner with Lifecycle teams to ensure cohesive full-funnel planning, including in CRMOwn marketing strategy for new opportunities in brand, product, partnerships and beyondTeam Influence & Capability BuildingElevate marketing strategy capability within the team across D2C brands in our portfolioContribute to broader growth team planning and cross-brand learningInfluence senior stakeholders with clear, commercially grounded recommendationsDrive a culture of accountability, experimentation and continuous improvementQualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree required8+ years’ experience in growth, integrated or performance marketing within subscription or DTC businessesProven experience owning acquisition strategy and delivering against ambitious growth targetsStrong experience developing integrated marketing strategies, not just channel executionExperience working with platform or distribution partners (e.g. Amazon Channels, Roku Channel or similar) preferredDemonstrated ability to manage significant budgets and optimise investment decisionsStrong commercial acumen with advanced analytical capabilitySkills And Personal AttributesExperience in subscription streaming or entertainment businesses strongly preferredStrategic and commercially driven growth leaderComfortable operating with high levels of ownership and autonomyStrong decision-maker with sound judgementAnalytical, structured and insight-ledConfident working with senior stakeholdersCollaborative and able to influence cross-functional teamsMotivated by ambitious growth goals and building scalable marketing foundationsSalary Range: $145-150K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potentialPlease note that the salary range is intended to give as an indicator of the salaries that could be attributed to the breadth or experience for a given role.
