Pharmacy Support Specialist

Job Description: Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to assure compliance with service expectations and achievement of performance goals and objectivesPrepare reports and maintain records/maintain records as requested or requiredDevelop, implement, and deliver training programs for all levels of pharmacy personnelCoordinate training schedule with members of managementDevelop and maintain continual education support materials to assist the pharmacy staff in learning the specialized pharmacy systemsConfer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and/or business technologiesTest trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of trainingFrequently report on progress of employees under guidance during training periodsParticipates in the maintenance of corporate compliance and legal board of pharmacy inspection parametersMonitor methods used by employees for Guardian Rx and/or POS and make on the spot corrections when neededAssist employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to the pharmacy systemsAssists with staff training and the implementation of processes related to meeting accreditation standardsRequirements: High School Diploma/GED, some college coursework preferredPTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification) requiredMinimum of 4 years of Pharmacy experience requiredPrevious pharmacy system training experience preferredMust be detail-oriented, be able to work independently, and must have solid self-motivation skillsGeneral knowledge of generally accepted pharmacy principles, practices and procedures, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, general mathematics, personal computersAbility to use a computer to assess patient/drug information systemsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individualsAbility to work with close attention to detail and minimal errorsAbility to type with speed and accuracyWorking knowledge of desktop computers, including Windows applicationsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExperience typing prescriptions requiredLeadership skills to effectively direct trainees while in the training environmentBenefits: A positive, high energy work cultureFantastic team membersGrowing pharmacy company with opportunity for real career advancementComprehensive mental health and wellbeing resourcesNationwide Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO with employee friendly plan design, including $850 individual annual medical deductible, $25 office visit copays, Low biweekly premiumsCompany paid basic life/AD&D, Short-term and Long-term disability insuranceRx, dental, vision, short-term disability, and FSAEmployer-matched 401k PlanIndustry Leading PTO Plan and MORE!
