We are seeking new team members who share our core values and vision: building a team of people dedicated to our purpose who strive for excellence in performance!The AERO Specialties Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day completion of tasks related to the Accounts Payable transactions of the company. This includes processing payments through a variety of methods, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy across the Accounts Payable function . What are we looking for? And Someone Who Can Review daily email, invoices, vendor requests, W-9’s, and departmental communication for processing. Set up new vendors and request vendor information Process high volume of PO and non-PO invoices; reconcile invoices to packing slips and purchase orders. Participate in weekly A/P vendor check processing. Obtain approvals on invoices . Respond to vendor inquiries and requests for payment. Monitor and reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure accuracy, research, and correct discrepancies. Assist in month end closing. Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately. Assist with other projects as needed Requirements What qualifies someone for this position? Associate’s degree in accounting or a closely related field, or an equivalent level of skill and experience. A minimum of 2 years of accounts payable and general accounting experience. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel. Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions. Strong math skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently. Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers. Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic. Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment. Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.
