Resolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely manner.Monitors and replenishes supplies as needed.Coordinates the ATP-GEL process and compliance, reporting inspections to leadership to ensure staff notification and training, if applicable.Manages reporting logs in the department, including attendance, Hazardous Materials Monthly inspections, and Hazardous Books compliance.Develops annual goals and objectives for environmental services consistent with the organization's mission and strategic plan.Assigns duties to ensure work tasks are accomplished efficiently and that adequate staff and supplies are available for the shift.Prepares, evaluates, and controls the department's annual budget.Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable cleaning practices.Supervises all staff by assigning work, training, hiring, evaluating performance, administering progressive discipline, and recommending termination as appropriate.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesAbility to assist in maintaining man-hours and supply costsAbility to manage the day activities in supervising staff including training, hiring, terminations, orienting, and evaluating performanceKnowledge about best environmental practicesBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Able to communicate in EnglishMust have the ability to direct subordinatesAbility to teach, plan, organize, coordinate, staff department, and prepare budgetWorking knowledge of environmental cleaning techniques, Joint Commission, Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and codesKnowledge of hazardous materials in a healthcare settingAbility to type and use computer with above-average competenceHas excellent people skills, enthusiasm for helping others, and a respectful attitudeAble to easily build rapport and trustMust have good problem-solving skills, ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groupsOrganizational, verbal interpersonal, customer relations, grammar/spelling skills RequiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructionsKnowledge of TJC and OSHA regulatory standardsIntermediate computer skills RequiredEducationAssociate PreferredHigh School Grad or Equiv RequiredWork Experience1+ year of leadership experience Preferred3+ years of technical experience RequiredLicenses And CertificationsCertified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) PreferredCertified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) PreferredCertified Hospitality Sales Professional (HSP-C) PreferredCertified Healthcare Emergency Professionals (CHEP) PreferredCertified Health Executive (CHE) PreferredPhysical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/23km2677Pay Range$47,157.64 - $87,705.78This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
