Intermediate Digital Product Engineer (Backend / Integration) - mid level Hybrid | Eagan, MN (2 days, flexible) Contract-to-Hire (planned conversion around 6 months; target is a long-term role)We’re hiring an Intermediate Digital Product Engineer to join a high-impact team building a new, enterprise-ready integration and orchestration layer—think greenfield platform work where you’re creating reusable services that move and integrate data across internal systems and external partners.This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building modern backend services, APIs, and event-driven integrations in AWS—while being part of a team that values healthy pace, collaboration, and work/life balance in a hybrid setup.What you’ll doBuild and support APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrationsDevelop cloud-native services on AWSContribute to solution design and technical discussions with engineers/architectsImplement/maintain CI/CD and automated testing practicesTroubleshoot, enhance, and support existing integration services as the platform evolvesWhat we’re looking for (core)3+ years of relevant engineering experienceStrong experience with Node.js and/or JavaJavaScript/TypeScriptAWS experience (building, deploying, supporting services)Nice-to-have experienceTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeDocker / KubernetesEvent streaming / messaging (Kafka, Kinesis, MSK, etc.)SQL + NoSQL (Postgres/Oracle/DynamoDB, etc.)Databricks/Spark exposure (bonus)Why this roleGreenfield build + real ownership: help shape a reusable integration frameworkHybrid in Eagan, MN: in-person collaboration without being fully onsiteContract-to-hire with conversion targeted at ~6 months (long-term intent)
