Director Digital Insight and Analytics
OVERVIEW The Digital Insights & Analytics Leader will manage a high-performing analytics team responsible for driving data-informed decision-making. This includes delivering regular monthly and quarterly reporting, developing business cases, supporting M&A execution, building business intelligence dashboards, and evolving toward advanced predictive modeling. The role bridges technical analytics depth with business strategy, translating complex data into actionable insights that shape organizational priorities.This position plays a critical role in shaping strategic decisions by leading a team of analysts to deliver a portfolio of analytics projects. Responsibilities include gathering data, designing experiments, performing advanced analysis, visualizing insights, and influencing business leaders through consultative skills and data storytelling. The leader will collaborate across digital teams and other business units to transform analytics into recommendations that drive competitive advantage and improve customer outcomes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONSStrategic Leadership Build, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts; establish analytics capability and maturityPartner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into analytics roadmapsChampion a data-driven decision-making culture across the organizationLead end-to-end delivery of complex analytics initiatives in cross-functional environmentsAnalytics & Insights Delivery Lead design and execution of strategic analytics projects involving data gathering, analysis, and insight generationApply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to address business challengesConduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend identification to inform strategyTranslate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendationsSupport product development, marketing, sales, and business units with data-driven insightsData Visualization & Reporting Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BICreate presentations, reports, and visualizations that communicate findings clearly to stakeholdersDevelop compelling data visualizations that translate complex information for diverse audiencesEstablish standards for data presentation and reporting across the teamCross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Technology, Finance, Marketing, UX, and other business leadersAlign analytics initiatives with organizational goals and strategic prioritiesEngage executives, managers, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutionsPresent findings and recommendations to senior leadership in clear and concise formatsData Excellence & Governance Oversee data quality, integrity, and accuracy across analytics initiativesDesign and implement scalable data models supporting reporting and advanced analyticsMonitor data governance and compliance with applicable regulationsTroubleshoot data and reporting issues; maintain system reliabilityProcess Improvement & Optimization Identify inefficiencies in current data collection, reporting, and analytics processesPropose and implement improvements to streamline workflows and increase efficiencyAutomate recurring reports and routine analytics tasksEvaluate emerging tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance team capabilitiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS Experience10 years in data analytics, business intelligence, market research, or related quantitative field4-6 years managing a team of analystsExperience in a regulated industry such as financial services, banking, or fintechEducationBachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative fieldOR equivalent combination of professional training and relevant experienceTechnical ExpertiseSQL, Python, RSnowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar platformsAWS, Azure, or GCP experienceSAS, Scala, or other advanced statistical packagesMachine learning libraries and frameworksAPI integration and data pipeline toolsCore CompetenciesStrategic Thinking: Ability to connect data insights to organizational prioritiesAnalytical Thinking: Interpret complex datasets, recognize patterns, test hypothesesCommunication: Data storytelling, executive presentations, translating technical concepts into business termsCollaboration & Leadership: Cross-functional teamwork, influence without authority, mentoring, stakeholder managementAdaptability & Execution: Manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines under pressure, learn new tools and methodologiesVaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
