Residential Painter Department: Residential Painting Salary Range: $18-$21 /hr DOE Job Summary Our painters play a key role in transforming spaces in people’s homes and businesses with craftsmanship, finesse and quality customer service. Duties & Responsibilities Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint Preparing surfaces to be painted by numerous methods Applying paint, and other finishes professionally using paint brushes, rollers and sprayers Removing old finish (chipping peeling paint) using scrapers, or chemical compounds without damaging the surface Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids Removing and reinstalling fixtures (doorknobs, electric switch covers etc.) as necessary Communicating with team members and customers Required Skills/Abilities Valid driver's license Be a teamplayer Follow supervisor’s directions Have a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor Customer service Ability to use hand tools in a safe and efficient manner Physical & General Requirements Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. of supplies and equipment Comfortable working 50 feet in the air on a ladder/lift/roof Work on your knees Wear a respirator and required safety equipment Stand for long periods Must be 18 years of age or older #hc114793
