Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems using schematics and technical manuals
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts replacements, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
Fabricate and modify parts or components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently
Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues with electrical systems, HVAC units, power tools, and other mechanical components
Utilize schematics and technical diagrams for precise troubleshooting and repairs on complex equipment
Assist with assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership or industrial equipment background preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, logging machinery, and tractor-trailers
Proficient in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems
Experience with welding, fabrication, soldering, heavy lifting, tire service, and the use of hand tools and power tools required
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving abilities
