Job Title: Telemetry Technician (Monitor Tech)Location: Long Island City, NY 11102 Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift) Schedule: 5 days/week, weekends as neededJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate interpretation of ECG rhythms in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and responding to arrhythmias, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the clinical team with timely communication and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform continuous ECG/EKG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmiasIdentify and respond promptly to life-threatening rhythm changesInitiate and support code situations, including rhythm documentationPerform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placementMonitor and respond to all cardiac monitor alarms appropriatelyTroubleshoot telemetry equipment and resolve monitoring issuesCommunicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and clinical staffEnter and verify orders in the system and retrieve lab results as neededEnsure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policiesSafely operate and maintain monitoring equipmentRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentBLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)Dysrhythmia Certification (Required)Experience working as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor TechStrong understanding of cardiac rhythms and ECG interpretationPreferred QualificationsEKG CertificationBasic knowledge of MS Office SuiteSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and critical thinkingAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to respond quickly in emergency situations
