You’ll work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑moving engineering‑driven culture, contributing your expertise in electromechanical assembly and precision liquid handling to help us deliver the next generation of HighRes technology.Your craftsmanship isn’t just about building devices — it’s about enabling progress in global science.Role & ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical and mechanical assemblies using detailed work instructions, schematics, and engineering drawingsAssemble, calibrate, and test small liquid handling components, including pipetting tools and fluidic subsystemsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fluidic issues during builds and testingEnsure assemblies meet performance specifications and quality standardsInspect parts and assemblies for defects and complianceSupport engineering with prototype builds, improvements, and documentation updatesMaintain a safe and clean work environmentMaintain inventory of job materials and componentsDocument build and test results accurately in required systemsUp to 10% domestic travelStrong attention to detailQualification/RequirementsAssociate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred3–6 years of electrical and mechanical assembly experienceDirect experience working with small liquid handling systems, pipetting mechanisms, or precision fluidics requiredExperience calibrating and validating liquid handling performance is a plusAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentationComfortable working in a fast-paced production and engineering environmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, oral and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Knowledge of Jira and PLM/ERP systems is a plusAbility to work in tight spaces and lift up to 40 lbsValid driver’s license requiredAbout HighResWe design and build innovative robotic systems and laboratory devices used by pharmaceutical and biotech companies and academic research laboratories.
