Job Title: Stylist Apprentice Location: Blondie's Salon & Spa Program Length: 12 Weeks Status: Apprentice (Part-Time, Temporary Training Role) Upon Graduation: Promotion to Level 1 Stylist Compensation:Level 1: $12/hourLevel 2: $12/hourGraduation: 40% Service Commission + 10% Retail CommissionProgram Summary:Blondie's Salon & Spa offers a hands-on, 12-week Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program designed for cosmetology students or recent graduates (within 4 years of graduation) ready to fast-track their career. Our structured, in-salon training prepares apprentices to grow from foundational skills to advanced client services, with mentorship from industry-leading stylists and trainers.What You'll Learn:Client consultation, guest experience, and luxury service enhancementsShampooing, headspa treatments, blow-dry and styling theoryHaircutting, updos, special occasion styling, and curly hair careColor techniques including root touch-ups, highlights, balayage, and moreBusiness education: branding, time standards, treatment planning, and client retentionSocial media fundamentals and photography basics for personal brand growthStructure & Schedule:The program is divided into 3 phases:Phase 1 (If currently in school): Saturdays only (9:00AM-3:00PM)Phase 2 (Post-graduation): Tuesday–Thursday training and client daysTuesdays 9:00AM-6:00PMWednesdays 9:00AM-5:00PMThursdays 9:00AM-6:00PMAfter Session 8 of Program: Add Fridays 9:00AM-6:00PMPhase 3 (After Session 8): Adds Friday client work All apprentices complete weekly homework through Canvas and receive regular evaluations on skill, speed, and professionalism.Program Perks:Small group, personalized trainingWeekly one-on-one coaching and assignmentsUse of professional products, mannequin heads, and backbar toolsSocial media content coaching and model coordinationOpportunities to build your clientele before licensure completionBenefitsAt-cost salon/spa services for employees10% commission on all personal retail salesPaid time off (PTO) for eligible employeesOngoing training and mentorshipOpportunities for advancement within administrative, operations, or retail leadership rolesSupportive team environment with a focus on collaboration and growthRequirements:Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a licensed cosmetology programProfessional attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learnMust have access to a computer/laptop for homework submissionsCommitment to the full 12-week program and scheduled sessionsGraduation Outcome:Upon successful completion, apprentices may be promoted to Level 1 Stylist with the opportunity to build their own schedule and begin earning commission-based pay.
