Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) is hiring a Part-Time Veterinary Surgery Liaison to support our AAHA-accredited surgery department.Why this role mattersOur liaisons are the friendly, steady connection between pet owners, referring veterinarians, and our surgery team. You help keep communication clear, appointments on track, and families supported through a stressful time. You also play a key role in keeping visits running smoothly, which helps reduce wait times and improves the overall client experience.What you'll doHelp keep patient flow moving to limit client wait timesCommunicate with referring veterinarians and hospitalsCommunicate with pet owners, including updates and next stepsSchedule and confirm appointments with the surgery teamSupport patient discharge following the surgeon's instructionsEnter and manage medical recordsCheck surgery patients in and outProcess payments and help with deposits when neededCompensation, Schedule, and perks* Pay: starting rate $22, and rate ranges up to $32 per hour* Most new hires can expect an offer based on experience, expertise, and alignment with comparable positions within the hospital, typically between the minimum and the midpoint of the range.* Schedule is Mondays 8a to 6p, Fridays 8a to 6p, and Saturdays 7a to 11a. There holiday shift rotation* This position has the potential for full-time development.Training schedule may look different at first while you learn the rolePaid PTO and holidaysUniform allowanceOn-site Veterinary Social Worker supporting employees and clientsCompany-sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP)What we're looking forRequired:2+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital (technician, liaison, or CSR)Equivalent experience may be consideredComfortable using computers and learning veterinary softwareBasic math skills for deposits and paymentsStrong multitasking and prioritization skillsClear, kind communication and a calm, professional approachRespectful and attentive with clients, referring veterinarians, and teammatesPreferred (nice to have):Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlowFamiliarity with CareCreditInterest in learning veterinary assisting skillsAbout CCVS and our growthCCVS is a growing specialty and emergency hospital serving Cape Cod and the Islands, with locations in Buzzards Bay and Dennis, MA.
