The Sponsors will supervise students in planning and executing events throughout the year. The Sponsors will organize approved fundraisers throughout the year in order to meet the needs of the club's expenses as applicable. Grants funding is heavily utilized to help cover expenses of the club and sponsors need to continue to keep applications for the grant funding current to help the club's financial security.Register the team for regional competitions (regional and world)Manage student registration for FIRSTManage the dashboard for all FIRST team requirementsBuild sponsorship for sustainabilityOrganize events and meetingsRecord team goals and communicate effectively so all stakeholders are awareCommunicate with students and parentsCreate or work with other coaches to establish sub team meetingsRecruit volunteer experts (engineers, technology, event organizers)Assists with writing college letters of recommendation for students per their request.Maintains a variety of documents including club's activity account budget, as applicableMakes transportation requests a minimum of 20 days in advanceCommunicates all student achievements and accomplishments within the program to the activity director in a timely fashion so that they can be highlighted in parent/staff and student communication.Work in the build roomMaintains attendance records for all competitionsWorks within the given budget and keeps accurate records of the monies used and receivedFollows fundraising procedures according to District policiesRecruits student participants each school yearRequests room space for meetings and eventsConfirms the security of the facilitiesEnsures that students have a way to get home and remains present until the last student is releasedPromotes and publicizes club meetings and eventsMaintains positive relationships with students and interacts with students and adults in a respectful mannerCollaborates with administration to maintain the vision of the Strategic Goals and purpose of the club/activityUses appropriate channels to resolve concerns and problemsPerforms other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the clubCompletes all training and certification required by the DistrictOther duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:Use this field to list any certifications that may be required to address the needs of the position (ie. Reading endorsed, LBSI endorsed, AP Physics endorsed, Highly Qualified in..., etc.)SKILLS: Organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision. Must show evidence of strong leadership and organizational skills.KNOWLEDGE: Previous successful experience in sponsorship/mentoring preferred.
