This person will provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to designated students in accordance with the goals outlined in an individual education program (IEP).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConduct speech, language, and hearing screening as directed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.?Conduct observations and prepare clinical materials.Work with classroom teachers to implement activities that improve students' communication skills.Implement the treatment program or the individual education plan (IEP) as designed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.Maintain daily records of treatments, document progress notes and submit billing in a timely manner.Consult and collaborate with teachers and teams by suggesting ideas for classroom interventions. Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders - Speech Sciences with an emphasis in Speech Language Hearing Sciences AND • Completion of an approved School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program.2. Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant licensure.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift 25 lbs.Ability to carry 25 lbs.Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter.Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation.Ability to operate office equipment.Ability to reach in all directions.
