Are you excited to use cutting edge technology to bring an event experience to life? Breakthrough T1D is looking for an Associate to join our Events, Conferences and Travel team.Breakthrough T1D’s Meetings and Conferences Department is responsible for planning and executing large and small-scale virtual and in-person meetings, supporting the organization’s travel needs, and overseeing the organization’s event registration and technology platforms. The Associate, Meetings and Conferences will report to the AVP, Meetings and Conferences and partner with the full events team, to create event experiences that inspire and move our mission forward.This position works very closely with National Departments (Research, HR, Development/Fundraising, etc.) as well as with Breakthrough T1D’s Chapters throughout the United States. The position requires strong attention to detail, flexibility to “wear multiple hats,” and a desire to learn and grow professionally.Specific ResponsibilitiesEvent Registration & Experience – own end-to-end Cvent registration website builds, work directly with marketing team to request images and graphics for Cvent sites, manage attendee inquires, travel requests, and changes in travel plans. Build out Registration Websites from start to finish, ensuring that all program needs are reflected and the registration process is user-friendly and efficient.Meeting & Event Planning Support - Provide support to AVP, Events & Conferences and other internal stakeholders for Breakthrough T1D’s large meetings. This includes creation of registration sites and name badges, coordination of rooming lists, food and beverage oversight, and on-site event execution, as needed.Mobile Application Support – Utilize Cvent Attendee Hub to create mobile apps for events, ensuring compliance with brand standards while understanding and carrying out the needs of the event stakeholder.Travel Agency Liaison – Partner with Travel agency for internal inquiries/travel needs and management of cancelled airline tickets; manage travel profiles in online booking tool; review weekly correction and billing reports.Event Finances – Assists AVP, Events & Conferences in the management of all incoming invoices for events.
