Courier-DARDarlington Facility - Darlington, SC 29532Job DescriptionThis position provides professional courier service for the Darlington Facility. This position is responsible for paying close attention to detail. The employee must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers and ensure company goals and quality standards are met on a continual basis. Must properly adhere to company policies and comply with required standards for work orders and labor laws within the department on a continual basis from one delivery to the next.Note: Management reserves the right to modify or revise this job description as changes may occur.Primary Job Responsibilities:Include but not limited to:Work directly with other employees to make sure that various items are picked up and delivered to the appropriate location in a timely mannerPick up and deliver packages and documents to designated locations within a timely mannerObtain signatures and payments from recipients, when necessaryMaintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and recordsEnsure the safe and secure transport of all deliveriesCommunicate any delivery issues or concerns to the appropriate partiesUnderstanding and knowledge of our products and servicesKnowledge of the warehouse and inventoryAble to help in other departments as neededOther duties as assigned by managementEnvironment & Working Conditions:Ability to work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shiftAbility to work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)Proficient driving skills in different weather conditions according to the law and SCSG standards.Physical Demands:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, reach for items, walk, twist, stand, and sit/ride in a car for up to ten (10) hours per day up to six (6) days per weekAbility to see clearly with eyes to operate a vehicle and handle written communication via email and other itemsAbility to hear audibly with ears to communicate conversations via telephone and in personAbility to work overtime when necessary/required and with short noticeQualificationsSkills/Qualifications Required:Must have a current and valid driver's license and cannot be classified as a "high risk driver" under our Company policies.Valid driver's license and clean driving recordForklift experience preferredPrevious hauling experience requiredKnowledge & experience with different trailer hitches & flatbedsPrior experience as a courier or delivery driver preferredSelf-motivatedEffectively work by priority listMust be located, or willing to relocate, within 50 miles of Florence, SCIndependent thinker with a team-oriented attitude and approach
