This is a highly collaborative environment where cloud operations and security work hand in hand to support long term growth.Role Summary The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Azure Administrator to manage and optimize a Microsoft Azure cloud environment supporting enterprise applications and services. This role is central to ensuring cloud resources operate securely, efficiently, and at scale. You will take ownership of infrastructure operations while partnering closely with security leadership to maintain strong governance and resilience.In this position, you will oversee Azure resource provisioning, automation, monitoring, and cost management. You will also contribute to disaster recovery planning, support platform migrations, and continuously improve performance, availability, and security across the Azure environment.Key Responsibilities • Provision, configure, and maintain Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components • Monitor Azure performance, system health, and consumption metrics while configuring alerts to maintain uptime • Manage SSL certificate renewals and secure connectivity for Azure hosted applications • Track and optimize Azure costs through usage analysis and resource allocation strategies • Collaborate with security engineering to implement identity, access, encryption, and network security controls • Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell and Azure CLI to streamline operations and enforce governance • Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and recovery testing efforts • Diagnose deployment issues and support platform migrations and enhancementsKey Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • At least 5 years of hands on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments • Strong experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, and enterprise cloud architectures • Advanced proficiency with PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation and scripting • Solid background in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune • Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop environments • Azure Administrator Associate or similar Azure certification • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage priorities independently and collaborate across teamsCall to Action If you are a seasoned Azure Administrator looking to take ownership of a complex cloud environment and make a direct impact on stability, security, and scalability, we want to hear from you.
