Safety Specialist CHST Raleigh NCA leading mechanical contractor is seeking a Safety Specialist to support complex life sciences and pharmaceutical construction projects in the Raleigh Durham market. This organization has a strong presence in highly technical sectors and is continuing to expand its footprint across advanced manufacturing and laboratory environments.The company operates on a national scale with a strong project backlog and consistent growth driven by repeat clients in regulated industries. Their projects involve large scale mechanical systems, cleanroom environments, and technically demanding installations that require a proactive and detail oriented approach to safety.This role will work closely with field leadership and project teams to ensure a strong safety culture across active jobsites, with a focus on compliance, planning, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities• Support implementation of site specific safety plans across multiple projects• Conduct daily site walkthroughs audits and safety inspections• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings with field teams and subcontractors• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis• Track and report safety metrics documentation and observations• Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate riskQualifications• CHST certification required• 3 plus years of construction safety experience• Experience supporting mechanical or MEP construction projects preferred• Experience in life sciences pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments is a plus• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices• Ability to communicate effectively with field teams and leadershipWhy consider this opportunity• Strong pipeline of life sciences and technical projects in the Raleigh Durham area• Opportunity to work on complex and high profile projects• Stable company with consistent growth and repeat clients• Collaborative team environment with strong safety culture• Clear path for continued career development
