Remote Litigation Attorney
Scott & Associates, P.C., is a well-established multi-state legal recoveries law firm seeking a motivated Attorney to work remotely in support of our South Carolina office and represent us in the western part of the state.
Since our inception in May 2000, we've evolved into a significant player in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions for major banks and creditors.
This position is a salary plus commission-eligible opportunity with no billable hour requirement. Commissions are based on attorney-negotiated settlements.
Must be licensed in good standing in South Carolina. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and familiarity with courtroom and civil procedures.
General comfort with technology and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
The candidate must be able to work independently and professionally interact with staff, opposing counsel, and the courts.
Collection experience is preferred but not required, training is available.
Responsibilities Include:
Negotiating resolution of pending litigation, motion practice, review and drafting of pleadings/discovery, court appearances, document execution, calendar management, and other duties related to a high volume practice.
