Title: Manager, Facilities and EH&SDescriptionLocation: OnsiteStatus Type: Full TimeQualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience7+ years of progressive environmental, health, and safety experience, including EH&S and Facilities operations and safety program management, preferably within medical device, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910), EPA, and state workers' compensation regulationsDemonstrated experience developing and leading safety programs across multiple facilities or sites, including facilities or building operations experienceExperience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysisExperience developing, conducting and maintaining safety related training for internal employees and external contractors.Experience with cleanroom, chemical-handling, and ergonomics programs typical of medical device manufacturingPrior experience managing, coaching, and developing technical and non-technical staff and external contractors in safety-related subjectsExperience managing EH&S operating and/or capital budgets and overseeing outside vendors/contractor safety practicePreferredCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), or Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM)Experience in a small-to-mid-size or growing medical device, life sciences companyFamiliarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 management systemsExperience with industrial hygiene monitoring and ergonomics assessmentsOSHA 30-Hour Certification, Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP)Experience managing Facilities and EH&S related capital projects (company-wide or department specific safety initiatives)Experience with asset management and/or ERP software (SAP)Skills & CompetenciesStrong working knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations and industry best practicesExcellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organizationAbility to travel regularly among the company's facilitiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skillsProficiency with EH&S management software, incident-tracking systems, and Microsoft OfficeProven people-leadership skills, including managing and coaching, safety program performance and management, and staff safety developmentBudget management and vendor/contract negotiation skills for Safety and Facilities operations and capital projectsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of timeAbility to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as printer, telephone, etc. Ability to move inside and outside of the facility to all locations, including the cleanrooms.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including cleanroom garb, safety glasses, and hearing protection, as neededOccasional lifting, carrying, or moving of materials up to 40 lbs.Ability to access mechanical, electrical, and building infrastructure spaces (e.g., mechanical rooms, roofs, utility areas) as needed to oversee facilities operations and maintenancePosition requires regular, on‑site presence during normal business hours, with some 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend support as requiredResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies, programs, and procedures across all company facilities in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulationsLead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for safety events and near-missesConduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across manufacturing, cleanroom, warehouse, and office areasOwn and maintain Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, PPE, and Emergency Action Plan programsPartner with Operations and Engineering leadership to ensure safe equipment design, installation, and process changesAssist in day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance across company sites, including building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairsDirectly supervise facilities/maintenance staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and professional developmentLead and maintain internal cross-functional Safety and Emergency Response TeamsPlan and manage Facilities and EH&S related capital and improvement projects — scope, budget, schedule, and contractor coordination — in partnership with Facilities, Operations and FinanceDevelop and manage the Facilities and EH&S budget; track spend against planManage relationships and contracts with outside facilities vendors and contractors (specialty waste disposal, Safety and Facilities related equipment maintenance)Assist in maintaining preventive maintenance programs for facility infrastructure and equipmentEnsure facilities comply with applicable building codes, fire/life-safety codes, and other facility-related regulatory requirementsServe as primary point of contact for EH&S and Facilities-related emergencies and coordinate timely resolution, including after-hours response as neededCoordinate workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs in partnership with Human ResourcesDevelop, deliver, and own EH&S training for new hire onboarding and ongoing employee educationTrack, analyze, and report EH&S metrics (TRIR, near-misses, corrective actions) to site and executive leadershipLead or support ergonomics assessments and industrial hygiene monitoring (noise, air quality, chemical exposure)Maintain OSHA recordkeeping (Forms 300, 300A, 301) and ensure timely regulatory reportingServe as primary point of contact for EH&S regulatory agency inspections and auditsSupport environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air permits, and stormwater managementChampion a proactive safety culture through employee safety committees and recognition programsSupport corporate Vision and manage using the corporate valuesOther responsibilities may be assigned, not all responsibilities listed may be assignedNearest Major Market: Cincinnati
