Job SummaryThe City Integrity & Grant Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that funded grantees comply with all organizational and donor reporting requirements. This role monitors reporting obligations, tracks submissions, and addresses delinquent or non-compliant reports through structured follow-up, guidance, and escalation as needed. The position emphasizes accountability, transparency, and supportive partnership with grantees operating in diverse international contexts.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack and monitor reporting requirements for all assigned grantees, including programmatic, financial, and impact reportsEnsure grantee compliance with reporting timelines, formats, and documentation standardsIdentify late, incomplete, or non-compliant submissions and initiate follow-up with grantee staffMaintain communication channels with the donor by providing regular updates and alerting the full program team to reputational and legal concerns regarding granteesCommunicate reporting expectations clearly at grant onboarding and throughout the grant lifecycleProvide guidance, clarification, and technical assistance to support grantees in meeting reporting obligationsDocument compliance status, communications, and corrective actions in grants management systemsEscalate persistent or high-risk non-compliance in accordance with organizational policies, including coordination with grants management, finance, and legal/compliance teamsEnsure grantees achieve timely and accurate grant completionPrepare compliance summaries, dashboards, and trend analyses for internal leadership and donor reportingSupport continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates, and processesMaintain awareness of cultural, legal, and operational differences affecting grantee reporting capacityRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit administration, grants management, compliance, international development, or a related fieldThree years experience overseeing grant reporting, compliance, or partner accountabilityStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey requirements clearly and professionallyAbility to proactively manage deadlines and enforce requirements with diplomacy and consistencyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience working with international grantees or donor-funded programsFamiliarity with foundation or institutional donor reporting requirementsExperience supporting capacity-building or compliance improvement effortExperience with Airtable or similar databaseProficiency in SpanishExperience working across languages and time zones
