The client anticipates ongoing needs for Emergency Medicine APP coverage, including both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.Exact shift dates are still being finalized; however, providers interested in coverage should be prepared to begin credentialing and application processes promptly in order to secure upcoming shifts.This opportunity offers exposure to community and rural emergency medicine environments with collaborative physician and APP support teams. Clinical ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage acute illnesses and injuries in the Emergency DepartmentPerform emergency assessments, stabilization, and treatment planningCoordinate care with ED physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary teamsAssist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning as appropriatePerform standard emergency medicine procedures within APP scope of practiceMaintain accurate and timely EMR documentationCollaborate closely with supervising physicians and hospital leadership Facility Information OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center Community hospital Emergency Department settingApprox. 24,000 annual ED visits16-bed Emergency DepartmentEpic EMR24-hour physician coverage24-hour APP coverage Holzer Health System Multiple 24/7 emergency care locations throughout southeastern OhioCoverage may include Gallipolis, Jackson, and Pomeroy locationsRural/community emergency medicine environmentCollaborative physician and APP staffing models Requirements APP CandidatesActive Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification/licensurePrior Emergency Medicine experience strongly preferredComfortable working in fast-paced ED settingsAbility to work collaboratively with physicians and hospital staffStrong communication and documentation skills required Preferred QualificationsActive Ohio license/ IMLCRecent Emergency Department experienceFlexible scheduling availability (days, nights, weekends)Epic EMR experience preferred for OhioHealth SMCComfortable working in rural/community Emergency Department settingsClean background and credentialing history preferred
