Department: GL6 Manufacturing & Process EngineeringLocation: SMCDescriptionFII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead engineering strategy and drive technical excellence across manufacturing and operations. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Engineering Department in an office/production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.The Sr. Engineering Manager will oversee engineering functions, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, automation, and product quality while assisting this Engineering Department as needed.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and operational goalsLead and manage multiple engineering teams including Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and AutomationDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, cost reduction, and process optimizationOversee new product introduction (NPI) activities including process development, validation, and ramp to productionCollaborate with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to ensure successful product deliveryEstablish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and technical documentationDrive implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation solutionsMonitor and improve key performance indicators including yield, uptime, throughput, and cost of productionLead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for complex technical and production issuesOversee capital equipment planning, budgeting, and implementationEnsure effective resource planning, staffing, and development of engineering teamsMentor and develop engineering leaders and high-potential talent within the organizationPartner with customers and stakeholders on technical requirements, design for manufacturability (DFM), and issue resolutionEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across engineering operationsDrive digital transformation initiatives including MES, data analytics, and smart manufacturing systemsSupport strategic planning, forecasting, and long-term capacity planning initiativesLead cross-functional communication and alignment on engineering priorities and project executionProvide regular updates to executive leadership on engineering performance, risks, and opportunitiesOther Duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred10+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleStrong background in manufacturing processes, automation, and engineering systemsExperience in electronics manufacturing or SMT/PCBA environment preferredProven leadership experience managing multiple teams and large-scale operationsStrong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience with NPI, process validation, and production ramp-upExcellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationStrong business acumen with experience in budgeting and strategic planningProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with MES, ERP, and data-driven manufacturing systems preferredAbility to sit, stand, and walk in an office and production environment and lift up to 25 poundsReasons you should work for us:Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.Basic life insurance and short-term disability coverage provided by employer.Supplemental life insurance and long-term disability coverage options available.401K with employer contribution.Personal, Vacation, and Holiday paid time off for all full-time employees.Onsite Aurora Health & Wellness Center available for all employees.Employees are continuously encouraged to learn and grow their careers in smart manufacturing.
