Our services span all aspects of business, providing a holistic approach to managing an organization.Role Description:The Business Development Associate is an entry-level position within Comtech and an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start a career in business development, sales, and strategy. This role is ideal for a motivated, curious, and relationship-oriented individual who is excited to learn how to identify new business opportunities and support company growth.Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Business Development Associate will support the team in building relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. This role involves assisting with market research, identifying potential opportunities, and helping maintain a healthy business development pipeline.You will collaborate with internal teams to support outreach efforts, contribute to proposals, and help track opportunities. This is a hands-on learning role where you will gain exposure to client engagement, account planning, and the overall business development lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Support the identification and research of new business opportunitiesAssist in building and maintaining relationships with clients and partnersHelp track and manage the business development pipelineConduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunitiesAssist with proposal development, presentations, and client outreach effortsCollaborate with internal teams to support growth initiativesMaintain accurate records of activities and opportunities in CRM toolsParticipate in meetings with clients and partners to gain exposure and experienceCandidate Profile:To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should:Be eager to learn and grow in a business development or sales careerHave strong communication and interpersonal skillsBe organized, detail-oriented, and proactiveDemonstrate problem-solving abilities and a willingness to take initiativeBe comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentShow interest in government contracting, technology, or consulting industriesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field0–2 years of experience (internships or coursework relevant to business development, sales, or research are a plus)Basic understanding of business development, sales, or marketing conceptsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); CRM tools are a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsCome with a “Start-Up” Mindset!We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, driven, and excited to contribute while learning.
