Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.Position Responsibilities:\nEnsures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing activities such as assembly of components into subassemblies; mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic); installation of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) that are fastened with screws, bolts, rivets, solder, crimping or swaging, connectors, or adhesives; and testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment.\nInterfaces with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.\nFabricates detail parts and subassemblies from composite and bonded materials using conventional, numerical control, and special composite/bonding fabrication equipment.\nPerforms related functions to provide complete composite/bonding fabrication details and subassemblies.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nExperience in a manufacturing environment\nExperience in a leadership or management role\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nAt least 3 years' experience in Aerospace\nAt least 3 years' experience in a leadership/management role\nAssociate or Bachelor's Degree\nExperience working with multiple cross functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)\nExperience developing and managing a statement of work on time and within budget\nExperience using Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience using SAP\nAbility to work any shift, including alternative work weeks\nExperience working in a union environment with collective bargaining agreements\nExperience monitoring cost\nExperience managing projects\nExperience with strategic planning\nExperience working with new product introduction (NPI)\n\nDrug Free Workplace:We are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:We strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
