Patient Care Technician(PCU)

Patient Care Technician I Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I performs delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality care. PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include but are not limited to: providing for a patient's activities of daily living (ADLs); limited screening, collection, and recording of data and information; maintenance of unit supplies and equipment; patient transporting; answering call-lights, telephone, Vocera. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.What You Can Expect:Perform activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assists with meals and feeding; assists with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assists with elimination and toileting.Screening/Collection/Recording data & information: vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection.Restocks patient room and unit supplies, performs equipment checks.Transports patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, bassinets.Answers patient call-lights, telephones, Vocera.
