The marine industry is going electric and Arc is building the platform that powers itWho we're looking forWe're looking for someone who is a self-motivated builder with the ability to create safety systems, who can adapt quickly in a dynamic environment, and effectively balances regulatory compliance with practical solutions to support our growth. Given that we're a startup, you will be working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that requires adaptability. Still, there are some responsibilities and qualifications we expect to stay relatively constant in this role.What You'll DoLeading and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibilityWorking closely with operations leadership, engineers, and employees at all levels to implement best-in-class safety initiatives and drive continuous improvementMaintaining and improving occupational safety programs such as high-voltage, crane safety, chemical management, incident management, industrial ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and air quality.Managing safety ticketing system and associated metrics Leading accident/incidents investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions; Managing occupational and/or workers compensation injuriesIdentifying proactive workplace safety opportunities in a manufacturing environment and documenting safety inspections Owning all hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including proper handling, labeling, and storageRecognizing requirements and ensuring compliance to safety programs and standards including: hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, power & hand-held tools, electrical, emergency response, and chemical managementMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, Occupational Safety or a related field; or equivalent work experience3+ years of managing and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, CUPA, SCAQMD, NIOSH)Working knowledge of ANSI standardsBonus QualificationsStartup or high-growth company experienceExperience establishing safety culture in young organizationsProactive safety mindsetExperience in hardware manufacturing Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable paceEnthusiasm for boating and clean energyAt Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status.
