Overview
As the Electromechanical Design Engineer, you will develop innovative electromechanical concepts and provide production support for defense programs. You will design systems and components like CCAs, harnesses, and enclosures, and generate detailed 3D models and drawings. You will ensure wiring, routing, and MBD packages meet constraints while maintaining configuration control. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support design releases, inspections, and testing. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electromechanical systems and components (CCAs, harnesses, enclosures, sub-assemblies)Create 3D models, layouts, and engineering drawings with material, component, and process selectionsDesign and model wiring harnesses using Zuken and generate complete Bills of MaterialsProduce model-based routing and layout packages meeting size, weight, and power constraintsDefine acceptance test criteria and document verification results in WindchillLead MRB actions, update engineering change records, and maintain configuration controlCollaborate with structural/thermal, CM, electrical/mechanical designers, suppliers, planning, and quality teamsProvide technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, and test phasesTravel to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities to resolve issues and validate hardware
Key requirementsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM fieldMinimum 1 year of professional electromechanical engineering experienceExperience with CREO/Pro Engineer or equivalent 3D CAD softwareCircuit card assembly (CCA) design experienceWorking knowledge of ASME Y14.5M GD&THarness and cable design experienceExperience with Zuken for interconnect and harness designMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret clearanceCollaboration across cross-functional teamsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesEffective communication and technical documentationCREO/Pro Engineer or equivalent 3D CADCCA designZuken for interconnect and harness design
