Senior Manager of Engineering

Job Title: Sr. Manager of EngineeringJob Location: Houston, TX 77007Job Type: Full-Time / PermanentDescriptionOur client is hiring a Sr. Manager of Engineering to lead all engineering and maintenance operations at a high-volume dairy manufacturing plant. This role oversees a 19-person team, manages major capital projects, and drives plant reliability and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, planner, and manager.Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs and plant reliability.Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs.Oversee troubleshooting of pumps, valves, mechanical systems, and ammonia systems (28K lbs).Lead CAPEX projects (~$2M annually): planning, budgeting, vendor management, execution.Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and strong cross-functional partnership.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.8+ years engineering/maintenance experience in food manufacturing (dairy preferred).PLC programming required (Allen Bradley).Experience with capital projects, budgeting, and team leadership.Strong communication, problem-solving, and CI skills.Work Schedule: Production Mon–Fri; manager weekend rotation ~every 2 months.
