Class C Delivery Driver - Urgent Need

Job DescriptionPACE Supply is a leading distributor of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and water works products serving the construction and industrial markets. With a commitment to exceptional customer service and quality products, PACE Supply has established itself as an industry leader. we are in search of a dependable and committed Class C Driver to enhance our San Jose team. In the role of a Class C Driver, you will hold a pivotal responsibility in guaranteeing punctual and precise deliveries to our esteemed clientele. Notably, you will be an integral part of a two-person "on-call" rotation every alternate week, which includes weekends.Your responsibilities will include safely operating a Class C vehicle, following established routes, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Additionally, it encompasses on-call duties to fulfill our delivery requisites, with supplementary compensation incentives for work conducted “on-call” beyond your regular hours.What Our Delivery Driver DoesSuccessfully delivers plumbing products to customers’ home and/or other specified locationsDocuments all pertinent information with regard to daily delivery paperwork for accurate record keepingListens to and resolves delivery concerns in the field and escalates issues if beyond their skill setSafely loads and unloads trucksObtains customer signature on packing slips for the receipt of goods with regard to pick-ups and deliveriesCommunicates status of each stop to scheduling and routing advisor along with accounting for accurate billing processCleans and maintains the interior of the vehiclePerforms routine inspections on vehicles using vehicle inspection form and reports any immediate safety concern to managementAssists in training of new Delivery DriversEXPERIENCE/ROLE REQUIREMENTS:2 years driving delivery truck, 26ft, boxtruck experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)One to three months of related experience and/or trainingFive-day workweekLong hours of moving and liftingHeavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
