Warehouse Pharmacy Technician

Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelops positive working rapport with courier service where applicable. Understands their operations regarding response time, delivery protocol, after hours service, compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations as well as HIPAA and ACHCGathers and checks compounding material prior to its entry into the clean roomCompounds sterile preparations as neededChecks final product for particulate matter and container integrity prior to presenting to pharmacist for final checkLabels compounded sterile preparations when state regulations permitChecks ancillary suppliesPicks/packs suppliesDevelops efficient territory management and delivery zones. Coordinates with customer service and Pharmacy to facilitate timely processing of delivery tickets and compounding documents. Assures most cost effective method of delivery is utilized. Tracks and trendslead time for delivery tickets. Coordinates with Pharmacy Technicians to prioritize mix schedule to create efficient deliveries and meet time commitmentsUtilizes delivery/warehouse best practices. Maintains safe work environment and practices. Tracks and trends cost per deliveryParticipates in Inventory Count Process through final reportingMaintains warehouse in safe mannerFacilitates efficient workflow processes and stocking of inventoryAssembles and prepares patient deliveriesReceives and stocks incoming ordersPerforms routine maintenance, testing and cleaning of returned equipmentPerforms inventory control on products. Rotates stock as necessary. Notifies appropriate personnel of stock shortages in a timely mannerAccurately compiles ordered medication, supplies, equipment and associated documentation in preparation for delivery; obtains supervisory cross-check of accuracy of compiled orderQualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMust have a valid driver's license maintaining a driving record meeting company standardsMeets all state requirements for a Pharmacy Technician (registration, licensure, certification)Remains aware of the Pharmacist's in Charge role and responsibility for the integrity of medications during preparation, storage and shippingKnowledge of geography serviced by the PharmacyUnderstating of all service options and delivery time commitmentsKnowledge of accreditation standards and requirementAbility to foster a cooperative work environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with co-workers
