This will be a district wide position. Attached to this position are two current job descriptions, one for a K-4 case manager and one for a 5-8 case manager. These will be updated to one K-8 position at an upcoming Board of Education meeting.Qualification Requirements:Illinois Professional Educator License, (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS), licensed for either Special Education teaching (LBS1), School Psychologist, Speech, or School Social WorkerMinimum of three years of Special Education experience, or minimum of three years of experience in related servicesMust be skilled at working in a team atmosphere This person will have responsibilities within the building as part of a Professional Learning CommunityMust be adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for all studentsPossess competence in computer skills and use of other educational technology such as, but not limited to, Smartboards, iPads, etc.Must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and families, to ensure each child reaches his/her full potentialSalary- Placement on the EMEA Certified Staff Salary Schedule.This position is benefits eligible.
