Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues)Perform daily inspection and maintenance on assigned equipment/area, including mechanical cleaning, lubrication, rebuild, installation, and removalAssist in lay out, assembly, and installation of piping and pumps associated with production, to include installation, repair, and replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment as instructedOperate, adjust, troubleshoot, and fix mechanical and electrical systems on equipment such as: Shakers, Gravities, Screw Conveyors, Elevators, Dry Ingredient Fillers, conveyors, code dater printers, palletizer robots, etcAssist in repair and maintenance of physical structure and utilities as instructedMaintain clean, safe and organized work environment alwaysFollow all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to LOTO, confined space, hot work, and forklift operationComplete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using SAP, work orders and detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departmentsParticipate in Continuous Improvement, also provides suggestions to improve processes and participates on team projectsWhat You'll BringHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; experience may be considered in lieu of education3+ years’ experience preferred as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, or chemical/processing plant2+ years’ welding/fabrication experience and able to submit a welding sample if requestedKnowledge in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsAbility to use mechanical tools to ensure safety and completion of tasks and assignmentsAbility to lift 50-80 lbs. Performs highly repetitive motions, stand for eight plus hours, talk, and hearAbility to Climb ladders, stairways, use a manlift/scissorlift at ceiling heights or above with proper safety equipment and work in non-air-conditioned environmentAbility and willing to wear a full-face respiratorAbility and willing to wear fall protection equipmentWhile performing job duties, the associate will frequently walk, use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. Frequent exposure to oils and greases or coolantsWhile performing job duties, the associate will occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell.
