Machine Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Machine Operator to operate skid steers and mini excavators on residential and commercial construction sites. Key Responsibilities: Operate skid steers and mini excavators for various tasks including trenching, grading, and backfilling Assist with layout and measurements according to site plans Load/unload and move materials as required Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of machines Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Communicate with foremen and crew Maintain clean equipment and a safe, organized job site Requirements: Proven experience operating skid steers and mini excavators Ability to read and understand construction plans or grade stakes Basic mechanical skills for daily equipment maintenance Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus) Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions High school diploma or equivalent preferred Preferred Qualifications: Experience in foundation work, concrete prep, or residential construction Familiarity with transit, or GPS equipment Ability to operate additional machinery is a plus (e.g., backhoes, dozers) Work Environment: Outdoor job sites with varying terrain and weather Requires physical activity such as lifting, standing, bending, and kneeling Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
