Family Medicine Residency Program Director

The client invites applications for the role of Chief Communications Officer (CCO), a pivotal position responsible for advancing the client's brand and reputation. The client is recognized for its modern approach to higher education, promoting innovative research and creative activities. It is dedicated to providing a high-quality education to a broad demographic of students. Since its inception in 1959, the client has become the third-largest university in Canada, with three campuses in the Greater Toronto Area, including a new state-of-the-art campus focused on technology and entrepreneurship. Planning for a new School of Medicine is underway, intended to enhance access to community-based care. The client continues to build its reputation, with many disciplines ranked globally in the top 200, and the university itself recognized for its impact on global development goals and entrepreneurship. The CCO will lead the Communications and Public Affairs (CandPA) Department, supporting the client's mission by developing and implementing communications strategies. This role involves working centrally and with various divisions to enhance the client's reputation and goals. The CCO will collaborate university-wide to align integrated marketing and communication strategies with the needs of diverse campuses, faculties, and divisions. By leading a creative team, the CCO will effectively communicate the client's strengths and stories both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will bring significant communications leadership experience and a global perspective, with a deep understanding of the postsecondary educational landscape in both Canada and internationally. The successful candidate will possess expertise in media relations, issues management, and crisis communications and act as an institutional spokesperson. They will promote a work culture aligned with the client's values of equity, inclusion, and well-being. The CCO will be a motivational leader, ensuring the CandPA team remains proactive and responsive to emerging trends and opportunities.
