Software Project Manager

Position Description:Job Title: Software Project Manager.Location: Irvine, CA.Duration: 12 Months Contract (Extension possibility).Most important experience areas:Medical device industry project managementSoftware project/program management within regulated environmentsCross functional integration leadershipExperience driving enterprise or product integration initiativesStrong stakeholder management and executive communication skillsAgile methodologies within medical device software environmentsPlease avoid profiles that are primarily:Generic IT PMsInfrastructure PMsPharma clinical PMsPMs without software experienceCandidates lacking regulated medical device exposureCandidates without true cross-functional leadership experienceQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business and 5+ years of work experience in software, product development or related field AND5+ years Project Management experience in the Medical Device industryDemonstrated project management experience leading cross functional teams and managing project scope, schedule, and budgetExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal written, and presentation)Results-oriented, positive attitude focused on delivering timely, accurate and best in class executionAbility to draw conclusions and make business recommendations based on cross-functional team inputProficiency in MS Office applications including MS ProjectProficiency in MS SharePointAbility to travel intermittently (up to 20%) to support effective team performance and collaborationPreferred Qualifications:Experience with utilizing agile project management5+ years of Project Management experience managing software projects within the Medical Device field, knowledge and application of applicable software ISO and IEC standards in the project scopeThis role appears to be much more focused on software/product integration leadership than general PMO coordination.
